Gardaí in Co Longford have launched an investigation after a number of shots were fired at house on Monday evening.
It is understood the investigation comes after the shots were fired at a house in Edgeworthstown at approximately 8.30pm.
Gardaí say thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
They also say a car fled the scene and investigations are currently ongoing.
