Gardai in Galway have launched an investigation after a teenager was stabbed during an altercation in church grounds.
It is understood that the 15 year old sustained non life threatening injuries following the incident which occurred St Brigid’s Church in Ballybane, at approximately 6pm on Monday evening.
Gardai say the injured teenager was taken to University Hospital Galway.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
