Gardaí in Cork have begun an investigation after a woman was tragically found dead in her home over the weekend.
It is understood the investigation comes after the woman aged in her 60s was found dead at an apartment in the Patrick’s Hill area of the city on Sunday morning.
Gardaí say they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine the cause of the woman’s death.
It is believed that the woman was from central or Eastern Europe.
