A Garda investigation has been launched after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at Cathal Brugha army barracks in Dublin on Tuesday night.
According to reports Gardaí from Rathmines were called to the scene of the alleged incident which occurred at approximately 2am on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at the barracks which is located south of the city centre.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing and a forensic examination of the scene has taken place. They also say they have taken a statements from a number of officers at the barracks.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the alleged assault.
