Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after an elderly couple were restrained during an aggravated burglary in Terenure on Wednesday.
It is understood the couple aged in their 70s, were attacked when three men broke into their home on the Templeogue Road, at approximately 10.30am on Wednesday morning.
Although the couple didn’t sustain any injuries during the incident, it is believed that they were left badly shaken.
The men left the scene a short time later in a small white van.
Gardaí say they are currently appealing for any witnesses in the area to come forward and contact them.
