Gardaí in Cork have begun an investigation after a man was allegedly assaulted in the city on Thursday.
It is understood the investigation comes after the bus driver was allegedly assaulted on the number 3 bus travelling through Upper Fairhill.
Gardaí say the service was suspended for a short time following the incident.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
