Gardaí in Co Wicklow have confirmed that an investigation is underway after skeletal remains were found at a recycling plant on Wednesday.
It is understood the investigation comes after a skull and a number of small bones were found at The Greenstar recycling plant in Bray.
Gardaí say they are yet to determine where the remains came from, but they are believed to be human.
They added further forensic examination is required to determine how old the bones are.
