Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from the Ilen River, on Friday.
According to RTÉ News, the man’s body was recovered near Skibbereen, at approximately 5pm yesterday evening.
Although the body has to be formally identified, Gardai say theh believe the body was in the water for some.
They added that believe the cause of the man’s death is not suspicious, but an investigation is currently ongoing.
