Gardaí in Co Mayo have begun an investigation after a number school buses had their fuel stolen in recent days.
It is understood the investigation comes after a number of buses which were parked up in the Castlebar area were targeted in recent days.
Gardaí say there has also been increase in fuel related thefts in rural areas with buses and lorries being targeted.
