Gardaí in Co Cavan have launched an investigation after two men sustained stab wounds during a vicious assault on Sunday night.

It is believed the two men aged in their 30s, required hospital treatment following the incident which happened in the Blackhills Upper area near Bailieborough.
Gardaí say both men sustained non-life threatening injuries.
They added an investigation is currently ongoing.
