Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation after two teenage boys were allegedly assaulted and verbally abused in a racially motivated attack.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the investigation comes after one of the boys aged 15, was hospitalised following the incident which occurred at Eamonn Ceannt Park (Sundrive Park) in Crumlin.
The Irish Mirror reports, that the youngsters friend a 14 year old boy tried to intervene and stop the attack but he was also verbally abused and assaulted.
It is understood that the young boy was taken to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin for treatment on non life threatening injuries.
Gardai say they are currently searching for three men aged in their early 20s in connection with the attack which occurred at approximately 12:30pm on Monday.
