Gardaí in Co Galway have sadly confirmed that two women have been killed following a road traffic incident on Thursday evening.
It is believed the two women aged in their 50s were killed after they were struck by a vehicle that collided with another vehicle on theStation Road in Ballinasloe.
Gardaí say both women were tragically pronounced dead at the scene following the accident which occurred at approximately 5:40pm.
They also say the women’s bodies have since been removed to Portiuncula Hospital.
