After being hit by a vehicle in Dublin’s Castleknock early on Monday morning, a garda is on the mend, reports RTE.
He was responding to a report at an apartment block for domestic abuse with a man brandishing a sword.
A man was fleeing the site in an automobile when the garda arrived.
A male garda entered the passenger door to talk to the driver as the car reversed and just evaded two female gardaĆ, reports RTE.
He took off, and the car hit the garda, spinning him to the ground and breaking his head.
The garda was brought to the hospital, released, and is still not on duty, reports RTE.
