Gardai and the Department of Justice have agreed on a deal concerning pay.
Back in July, the Garda Representative Association (GRA) announced that it would no longer co-operate with the Department of Justice’s ‘transformation agenda’. This agenda heeded the Government’s freezing of pay increments after the GRA rejected the Lansdowne Road Agreement.
The deal means that pay increments will be implemented again, and a €4,000 rent allowance will be paid to new recruits.
