Gardai and HSE officials will be patrolling public places to ensure that people are listening to the lockdown measures that the government issued on Friday night.
Any crowds will be dispersed with people advised that they need to only go to areas that are safe and within 2km of where they live to exercise just once a day.
Gardai have said that “We can all play a small part and it can all go a long way”
