Gardai in Co Kildare have issued an appeal to the public for their assistance after a man has been seriously injured following an aggravated burglary at his home.
The appeal comes after two men broke into the home of a man aged in 60s in the Duneany area of Monasterevin, on Saturday evening.
It is understood that the man was taken to Naas General Hospital with serious injuries following the burglary which also saw a number of items taken from the man’s home.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between the hours of 5pm and 9pm on Saturday evening.
