Gardaí in Co Cavan have issued an appeal to the public after a woman aged in her 60s was seriously injured a two vehicle collision on Thursday.
The appeal for witnesses comes after the woman was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, in serious condition.
It is believed the car she was driving collided with a lorry on the R179 just outside the village of Kingscourt, at approximately 5:45pm.
Gardaí say the man driving the lorry was uninjured in the collision.
