Shortly after 10am, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Renmore, County Galway this morning.
The 40-yr-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on R338 Old Dublin Road in Renmore Park.
Shortly afterwards, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased was taken to the morgue at Galway University Hospital and the local coroner notified.
The crash site has been fully investigated by forensic investigators in Garda and the road is now open to traffic again.
Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses after the fatal traffic accident to contact the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
