It is understood Gardaí were called Dame Lane, Dublin 2, at about 11.30pm on Saturday night after a member of the public found a man unconscious. Reports say the man believe to be in his late 30s was found with serious head injuries, close to the entrance to a pub on Dame Lane.
Gardaí say the man was taken to St James’ Hospital but now has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
