According to a new report published by the Sunday Independent the HSE has reportedly spent millions of euro last year on taxi’s for patients.
The new report found the health authority spent €70,000 per day on taxi’s. The findings will now surely increase the pressure on the HSE to arrange a more cost effective solution to transport patients.
The latest figures show that two Dublin firms netted almost €1m last year, whilst a Cork firm made €755,000.
