Gardaí in Co Kerry have confirmed that a man aged in his 20s has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Cahersiveen this morning.
In announcement this afternoon Gardaí confirmed that the man had been arrested in connection with the incident and he is currently being detained at Killarney Garda Station.
It is understood a 33 year old man was killed during the incident which occurred shortly after 4am in a house at Fertha Drive.
