Three men and two women have been arrested this morning in relation to the death of 21-year-old Lorcan O’Reilly.
The five people arrested are believed to be in their late teens and early 20s. They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 in various garda stations across the city.
Mr. O’Reily was stabbed to death on Sunday November 1 after intervening to break up a fight. He sustained a single stab wound to the chest and was rushed to St James’s Hospital in Dublin, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
