Gardai have arrested four men in connection with a serious assault that took place in Dublin overnight.
The incident happened at Townsend Street in the capital, at 10.50pm on Monday evening.
A man in his 20s was left with serious injuries and had to be rushed to hospital. It is understood that the injuries are not life-threatening.
The four men were later released without charge while a file is prepared for the DPP.
