Gardai in Co Tipperary have confirmed they have arrested nine in connection with illegal hare coursing.
They also say a number of “lurcher” breed dogs have been seized along with equipment during a search of a number of premises. It is understood arrests were made after a large-scale operation was carried out at a number of locations over the past few days.
The nine people arrested are currently being held at Cahir, Thurles, Tipperary, Templemore and Clonmel Garda Stations.
