Gardai have arrested three people following a burglary and a botched escape attempt in an Irish county.
The incident happened in the Lisgrey area of Virginia, Co. Cavan, in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that two men and a woman burgled a premises in the area, but Gardai were soon at the scene. A woman in her 40s was arrested, while two men in their 30s fled in a stolen quad bike.
The two fugitives were soon captured.
