Gardai have arrested two men following a substantial seizure of cocaine today.
The drugs were found after Gardai stopped a car on the M7 near Portlaoise early this morning. Around €35,000 worth of cocaine was found in the vehicle.
Follow-up searches yielded 3.5kg of cocaine, worth almost €250,000.
The two men arrested, aged in their 40s and 50s respectively, remain in custody while investigations are ongoing.
