Gardai in Cork have arrested two people after a woman was seriously injured following an alleged assault on Saturday evening.
It is understood that the woman aged her 20s was seriously injured following the incident which occurred on Grand Parade at approximately 8:10pm on Saturday evening.
Gardai say the woman was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
They added that a man aged in his 20s and a woman aged in her teens were arrested in connection with the incident.
