Gardai believe woman and her baby boy may have been dead for days before being discovered in perceived murder-suicide

Gardai say that Kate Donohue and her baby son Vincent may have been dead for days before being discovered.

Gardai confirmed that the bodies of a woman in her 40s and a baby boy had been found in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

The discovery was made at a property in the Beechfield estate in Clonee, Dublin 15, shortly after 3pm.

They say that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the discovery and that there was no one else in the house at the time.

They’re calling the discovery a “family tragedy”, saying that the woman was the baby boy’s mother.

However, a source told The Liberal that Gardai are working off a possible theory of so-called “murder suicide” and that no other persons.

Gardai are reportedly working off theory of “murder suicide” after the two were last seen on Thursday.
