Gardai confirm man (60s) has sadly died in a crash in Dublin

On Thursday night, a man in his 60s lost his life after the vehicle he was operating collided with an electrical pole on Dublin’s East Wall Road, reports RTE.

The collision happened at around 11:55 p.m.

The lone traveler was brought to the Mater Hospital, where he was subsequently declared deceased.

There were no other recorded injuries, reports RTE.

Local diversions are in place until a technical inspection of the area is conducted, and the East Wall Road is closed between the North Strand Road and Alfie Byrne Road.

Any witnesses, especially drivers who may have dash cam or other video footage and were there at the time, are urged by the Garda to call Mountjoy Garda Station at 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line, reports RTE.
