
A man in his 70s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Donegal, reports The Mirror.
The incident took place in Carrigart, in the north of the county, around 1pm this afternoon.
The victim, who was driving a van, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post-mortem examination, reports The Mirror.
The R245 remains closed as forensic investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and have urged anyone who may have seen the crash or has camera footage from the area between 12.10pm and 1.10pm to come forward.
“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident, involving a van, which occurred at approximately 1pm,” a Garda spokesperson confirmed, reports The Mirror.
“The male driver of the van, aged in his 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. No other injuries were reported,” reports The Mirror.
Local diversions are currently in place while the investigation continues.
