Almost €1 MILLION worth of drugs, cash and guns were found by gardai during a planned search of a premises in Co Meath.
Gardaí attached to the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search of a business premises in Rathfeigh on Tuesday afternoon when they made the discovery.
It’s understood that the Armed Reponse Unit was also on the premises. During the search, €570,000 worth of suspected MDMA tablets, around €156,000 worth of suspected MDMA powder, and close to €140,000 worth of cocaine was also found.
Gardai say that the discovery of drugs alone have an estimated value of €958,800.
Cash to the value of €489,120 was also seized. RTE report that a Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun, two Walter 9mm handguns, two silencers, and 75 rounds of 9mm Luger and Fiocci ammunition were also discovered.
A man in his early 40s was arrested at the premises and is being questioned at Ashbourne Garda Station.
