Gardai in Donegal search for car after ‘suspicious approach’ to woman

Gardaí are working to identify the owner of a vehicle involved in a ‘suspicious approach’ to a woman in County Donegal, reports Breaking News.

The incident occurred in the early afternoon last Tuesday, as the woman was walking alone along rural roads between Dunfanaghy and Creeslough.

A vehicle pulled up beside her, and a man began yelling and making threats, reports Breaking News.

According to local sources, the man attempted to persuade the woman to enter the vehicle, but she was able to escape.

The woman was able to note the make and model of the vehicle and reported the matter to gardaí shortly afterward, reports Breaking News.

While she was left shaken, the woman was not physically injured.

No arrests are believed to have been made at this time, though gardaí are understood to have identified the vehicle involved.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the report.

“Gardaí received a report of an incident at Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal, at around 12:45pm on 10th June, 2025. Investigations are ongoing,” reports Breaking News.
