GardaĆ­ investigate the alleged abduction and assault of man in Cork




Following the reported attack and kidnapping of a man in the city early on Sunday morning, Cork’s GardaĆ­ are requesting witnesses, reports RTE.

Around 2:30 in the morning, the man, who is in his 20s, was attacked and taken from his residence in Maryborough Hill, which is located in the Douglas neighbourhood of Cork.

He was placed in a car, but he was able to get out when it crashed in Bishopstown’s Curraheen Park.

The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital by GardaĆ­, who responded to the incident and treated him for non-life-threatening injuries, reports RTE.

Anyone who was travelling in the Maryborough Hill or Curraheen Park areas at the time of the incident is encouraged to contact them.

Additionally, they would like to speak with anyone who has footage from nearby dash or helmet cameras, reports RTE.
