A man has died after he was struck by a van in Freshford, Co Kilkenny, on Wednesday morning.
The collision happened on the R693 near Arigan Bridge, Cooleshal, at 9.30am, reports Breaking News.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been conveyed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place, reports Breaking News.
The road has since been reopened.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward, reports Breaking News.
Any road users who were travelling from Freshford towards Kilkenny between 9am and 9.30am and who may have camera footage, including dashcam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaÃ.
