Gardai have launched an investigation after a man was savagely beaten with a hammer in his home in Bray, Co. Wicklow, on Thursday evening.
The victim, believed to a male in his 60s and a well-known photographer, was left with ‘devastating’ head injuries after a sustained assault at an address on Adelaide Road in Bray.
He was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.
Gardai believe that the victim knew his attacker. No arrests have yet been made.
