Gardai in Co Kerry are investigating an armed robbery which took place at a post office this afternoon.
The incident happened at approximately 4.05pm this afternoon when two men armed with a what appeared to be a handgun threatened staff at Tarbert Post Office. It is believed that the two men in question fled the scene with a small amount of cash in a black Mitsubishi Colt car which was found burnt out a short time later. Thankfully no shots were fired and no-one was injured in the robbery.
