Garda investigation launched – after assaulted Dublin woman manages to escape her attacker




GardaĆ­ in Dublin have launched an investigation this morning after a woman woman was assaulted whilst walking to work yesterday morning.

GardaĆ­ say the alleged assault took place on the R132 close to the Seatown Road and the Seatown Roundabout.
It is understood the woman aged in her 30s thankfully managed to get away from her attacker, and was assisted by a passing cyclist.

The alleged incident took place at approximately 6.45am on Sunday. GardaĆ­ say they do not have a detailed description of the attacker at this present time, but is understood they were wearing a grey hoodie.

GardaĆ­ have asked anyone who was in the area of the R132, particularly between Balheary Road and Seatown Roundabout on Sunday morning to contact them at Swords garda station on 01 666 4700.
