Gardai are currently conducting an investigation after a man was shot in an incident in Ballyfermot last night.
It is understood that the shooting occurred at approximately 8.45pm on the Ballyfermot Road.
It is believed that the man in question was shot in the leg. The man was taken to hospital but his injuries are understood to not be life-threatening.
Gardai are urging anyone who may have any information on the incident to contact them at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
