Gardaí in Cobh Co Cork have issued an appeal to the public for their assistance after a young girl was left hospitalised following a hit-and-run on Tuesday evening.
It is understood the young girl aged 15, was treated for facial injuries in Cork University Hospital after she was hit by the car at Laundry Hill in Cobh at approximatley 8.40pm.
Gardai say the suspect fled the scene in the what was described as dark coloured vehicle towards the Newtown area.
