Gardai have advised Louth residents to be on the lookout for scammers offering iPhones for sale in the area.
A number of people have fallen foul to the scam, and found out that the iPhone box actually contains a block of wood of similar weight to an iPhone.
People are advised to purchase iPhones and other expensive gadgets from reputable sources only.
