Gardai have launched a manhunt after an elderly man was stabbed during a burglary in Cork on Tuesday evening.
The incident happened at a house in Gurranabraher, Cork. It is understood that a raider called to the house of an elderly man and stabbed him in the leg after demanding money. Neighbours heard shouting and went to investigate. The raider opened the door and claimed to be a relative of the elderly man before fleeing the scene.
The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
