Gardai have launched an investigation after a building earmarked to house homeless families in Dublin went up in flames.
The building, which was not occupied at the time of the incident, was formerly Sally’s Bar, located in Ringsend.
The site had been the target of anti-immigration protests in recent times, with people claiming that asylum seekers were going to be housed there, rather than local homeless families.
