Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding an acid attack that left a woman with horrific facial injuries.
The incident happened in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, last Friday.
It is understood a masked male ambushed the woman in an area close to Merrion Wood and Seamount Apartments. He poured a caustic substance on her before fleeing the scene.
