Gardai have launched an investigation following the alleged abduction attempt of a young male in an Irish county.
It is understood that a young boy was approached by someone in a dark colored vehicle in the village of Mullagh, Co. Cavan, on Tuesday evening.
Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
