Gardai have launched an investigation following an incident in Tallaght involving firearms.
It is understood that a number of shots were fired at a house in the Kiltalown area of Jobstown on Monday afternoon.
A man in his 30s was seriously injured after he was struck by a car nearby. Gardai believe both incidents are related.
