Gardai have launched an investigation following the death of a young pedestrian in Limerick overnight.
The incident happened in the Bank Place area of the city shortly after 11.30pm on Wednesday night.
The victim, a female in her teens, was rushed to University Hospital Limerick, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
