Gardaí in Dublin have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was discovered in a laneway in north Co Dublin.
The investigation comes after the man’s body was found near a ditch at a laneway off the Ballyboughal to Oldtown Road, around 1km outside of Ballyboughal at approximately 10am this morning.
Gardaí say the man aged in his 30s, is of Eastern European origin and died as a result of a stab wound.
They also believe the man who had a number of documents on his person was stabbed somewhere else before his body was moved to a field in Ballyboughal.
