Gardai have launched a murder investigation into the death of a 78-year-old woman in Limerick.
The victim has been named locally as Rose Hanrahan. Her body was found in a downstairs room in her house, sited on the Thomondgate area of Limerick, in early Friday afternoon.
A post mortem examination determined that foul play was involved in Ms. Hanrahan’s death.
