Gardai are currently investigating a suspicious approach to a young girl in Cork on Monday evening.
It is understood that the incident happened at a property near Mahon Point Shopping Centre. A lone male approached an 11-year-old girl playing outside her home and engaged in conversation with her, reportedly asking her to ‘go for a walk.’
The girl’s mother just happened to come out of the house to check on her child then, prompting the male the walk away. The mother ran after him and managed to take a picture, which was handed over to Gardai.
