Gardai renew appeal for motorists to take care on the roads after 3 motorcyclists were killed over the past week

Road Safety again appeals to all road users, and in particular motorcyclists, to be careful on the roads this holiday weekend.

The call comes as three cyclists were killed over the weekend.

Two men aged between 50 and 60 were killed on the M50 in Dublin on Friday. Two motorcycles and a truck were involved in the crash.

A motorcyclist in his 40s was killed and two other motorcyclists seriously injured in a crash near Clifden in Kilkenny yesterday afternoon.

That means 74 people have died on Irish roads so far this year.
